Man, I’m getting later on these, aren’t I? I’ll try to do better mañana:
- US and Russian leaders sign nuclear arms treaty — BBC didn’t lead with this, but I will, because it’s important, even though we knew it would happen. I refer you to the definition of a lede.
- China Appears Set to Make Its Exchange Rate More Flexible — This is very important, too, but hasn’t happened yet (and being a child of the Cold War, I always see nukes as outweighing money.
- SC man gets life sentence for gang fantasy killing — This was really, really twisted.
- Kyrgyz Opposition Group Says It Will Rule for 6 Months — The continuing major story, and I don’t really care that you can’t find it on a map…
- Woods 3 under at Masters turn in rousing return — Hey, it’s happening just down the road, as I explained previously… And, as a sidebar:
- Is Corporate America Ready To Embrace Tiger? — And should it be?

The gang fantasy guy, when you read the story closely, is clearly sub-par mentally.
Not sure I get the Tiger Woods ad–why would Nike do this?
Why shouldn’t corporate America embrace Tiger? Almost everyone else has. Re: Kyrgystan-Why do we continue to support folks with lousy human rights reputations while continuing to spout generalized platitudes about being defenders of human rights? So many times that’s come back to bite us after the inevitable regime change.
I hope you use this ground breaking news flash in today’s edition:
